Beautiful rooms and a very private, exclusive lodge. It felt like something from Hemmingway, with fireplaces for cooler evenings, but white tablecloths and excellent food/wines. The game drives were excellent and our guide was very knowledgeable. We saw a family of cheetahs chase and kill a deer, which was a highlight of the trip. One day it rained and the elephants (15 or so) came out to play and bathe in the pond below the lodge. Fantastic!

The lodge and it‘s infrastructure is excellent. The rooms are very nice, very well equipped and clean. The daily room maintenance was outstanding. Food and drinks were wonderful and very tasty. The game drives were like a dream and our young guide was highly motivated and has an unbelievable knowledge. Most important the staff people are super friendly and supportive. We had three fantastic days at Amakhala Game Reserve, Bush Lodge. The tents were very comfortable and the food very good. The game drives were amazing. Our game driver Jono did a super job. very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable information given during the drives and he was fantastic at spotting the animals and very dedicated to making sure we saw as much and varied as possible.
