Had an issue with the key and Paul came very very quickly to sort us out. King size bed, ahhhhh. Lovely bottle of wine on our arrival. Excellent service and friendliness of all the staff. This is an amazing complex, Spa, Wedding venue, cottages, best Pub, The Apple Inn. Do make a reservation if you want to dine there, it's very popular.

The location was ideal, with pubs and amenities right on the door step. The property was very homely, with a log fire, and period fittings. Our host was very helpful, and we had no issues at all during our stay. Highly recommend!

A beautifully maintained cottage , clean, tidy, and furnished to a very high standard, I cannot see anyone finding fault or writing anything negative about this lovely property and with such amazing views and lovely touches, especially the 'bee' theme throughout. A real home from home feeling and with everything you could wish for..all the ingredients for a lovely holiday. We will definitely return and recommend this property to friends and family, Superb!!

Magpie cottage is a beautiful cosy home from home, a perfect place to relax and recharge. The Farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, far beyond the basics you'd expect in a holiday let. The lounge is cosy and comfortable with a beautiful log burner fireplace. The whole place was spotless and the various ornaments and pictures added to the homely decor. There was a great selection of Dvds books and games to use during our stay and everything you could imagine needing during your holiday including an iron and ironing board, clothes airer, vacuum cleaner, high chair and much more. The hosts were accommodating and messaged us to check on us during our stay. The cottage is set in a lovely location and a good base for exploring beautiful Northumberland. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommend

    The cottage was lovely, cosy and clean. The area is beautiful very peaceful and picturesque. The cottage is a good base for exploring Northumberland which is a beautiful part of the country with lots of nice walks and towns to explore.

    Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, good WIFI and very well equipped - this cottage suited our needs perfectly. Initially worried upstairs might be too low but the adult in our party found it quite charming - the owners have made great use of the space. Would be very happy to return to this very cosy cottage.

    Lovely cottage, clean, comfortable, well decorated and a great location. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Extremely dog friendly and very quiet. Perfect location to explore area and easily accessible walks close by. Very comfortable large king size bed.

    The beautiful, peaceful surroundings, lovely garden. Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Easy to contact owners re picking up keys. Bottle of wine and biscuits left in kitchen was a very thoughtful, welcoming touch. Central heating meant that the cottage was very cosy. Good value for money.
