Our host met us as we arrived with a warm greeting and made sure we were comfortable and let us know how to get in touch if we needed anything. The cottage was fantastic, beautifully decorated and very comfortable in a peaceful country location. Very easy to find with the concise directions given before our arrival. The wood burner was a cosy bonus after a day’s sightseeing around the countryside. Perfect for a quiet country getaway.

The hamlet of Millthorpe is beautiful the cottage is exquisite. Each item in the home is perfectly curated by a person with an artistic eye and taste. Cottage is warm and cosy, well equipped, beds are very comfy and the neighbours we spoke to who live in the hamlet are really lovely. Probably one of the nicest holiday cottages I’ve ever stayed in.

Really quaint cottage in a beautiful hamlet just outside of Sedbergh. Really lovely decorated, really cozy and comfy. The beds were so comfy, the terrace area was a lovely feature and I particularly enjoyed having a coffee in the bath and enjoying the countryside view! Really helpful info pack with lots of leaflets for things to do in the surrounding areas, we picked a trip to visit the red Squirrels!

Burnt Mill Cottage, wow, absolutely beautiful, we would certainly stay there again. The cottage is immaculate, with a lovely private garden. It’s modern but cosy, and although on a main road, the road noise doesn’t impact you, the surrounding area and countryside is stunning. The owners are really lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Overall a group of 7 of us had a fantastic stay at Burnt Mill Cottage.
