Ruth, the host lives behind the property and came to welcome us on arrival and gave us some helpful information and then left us to it. Ruth was also responsive to my request for help regarding the oven...that was more the operator that was the problem.🥴 The view is fantastic, right on the waterfront. There's no TV in the place but you don't need it cause you're always looking at the views. You can watch the planes arrive and the ferries do their crossing to and from the South Island. There is some road noise but Ruth has a water feature that helps with that, but you could turn it off if you like. There's no blinds facing the road so people on the road can see in. It didn't worry me though, the rooms are private. You have a choice of beds that range from quite firm to softer. I loved the colours in the bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. No microwave but has an oven, stovetop and double airfryer. Close to shops and takeaways within walking distance. It only took about 10 minutes to get to the airport. I would definitely recommend this property.

    The location was idyllic! A little bit of country but not too far from the city. Plenty of bird life, pet friendly with stunning views. The cottage was so fresh and clean with lovely touches such as brekky cereal, some cooking condiments, fresh flowers and a fabulous washer dryer! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, we loved it.

    Thorndon Heritage Villa is a charming house in Thorndon, just out of Wellington CBD. The accommodation was spacious, we had the whole top floor, separate sitting room and bathroom, all of which was beautifully decorated in period detail.

    Loved how clean and new the cottage was , really impressed with everything. It was cosy and warm and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful location too. We will definitely be back if we are traveling to Wellington
