Babalao Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nungwi. I loved this place, it was really relaxing atmosphere and nice spaces to hang out. Max and Elena have created a beautiful and welcoming place. The pool is a great bonus as well. Breakfast was different every day which is such a nice change! I wish all places did that! Just minutes from a beautiful beach, ATM, and many options to get food. Max also is super helpful with whatever you need even before and after your stay. Thanks for organising transfers at a very fair price. If I visit nungwi again someday I would definitely come back! Best place during my trip in Tanzania :)

Situated in Nungwi and with Nungwi Beach reachable within a few steps, Dhow Beach Boutique Hotel features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a private beach area. We stayed at the Dhow Boutique Hotel for just one night, but it left a lasting impression. Despite moving to another place for the next two days, we kept coming back to the Dhow for coffee, lunch, and drinks, it quickly became our favorite spot. The hospitality from the owner and staff is truly unmatched; we felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. The views are breathtaking, and the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the turtle aquarium. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, definitely worth mentioning! The design of the hotel is also incredibly charming. Both the interior and exterior are beautifully crafted, with many wooden elements made by local carpenters using wood from traditional dhows (boats), giving the place a unique and authentic feel. As a bonus, guests have free access to the pool at the sister property, African Bungalows, which was a lovely perk. If I could give more than 10 points, I absolutely would.

The place was clean and very quiet (partly because we came at low season, but partly because the hotel has its own beachfront). The staff gave us a friendly welcome and they were very attentive during our stay, always making sure we were comfortable, even chatting and discussing the local culture and customs, so we could have a clue of how people lived in the area. We were the only ones there at the time, so we had the whole place to ourselves, which gave an extra luxurious feeling. The meals were also extraordinary - I booked this site partly because it has its own restaurant and bar, so we didn't have to worry about having a meal any time, but soon we found ourselves comparing each other restaurant and saying that the food was best here. After cleaning the room was decorated with flowers. The wifi was a bit slow, but working well, even in case of an electricity blackout they turned the generator on so we would always have wifi and running water. It was so relaxing to chill on the beach, watching the waves and the local people going about their day, their children playing on the ocean side.

Located in Jambiani, 300 metres from Jambiani Beach, Zanzi Soul Luxury Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. Loved the energy of the place, it is a tuktuk ride away from Paje which is the part of the island I prefer. The staff was super attentive and helpful. The room itself had the perfect video of the water. I totally recommend this spot, and when I asked for a late check out they agreed right away. There is a restaurant inside the hotel that has fresh food and a great breakfast!

Situated in Matemwe, a few steps from Matemwe Beach, HEBE Bungalows Lodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. Amazing location next to te beach, very calm. A lot of trees and consequently shadow places, which is truely needed in that hot sunny days. Rooms are clean. Staff was helpful and they were always ready to animate people in the restaurant. A lot of amneties like pool table, reading corner with sofa. Every second day they had live music in the restaraunt. Food is also very delicious. Strongly recommend if you want to rest your body, mind and enjoy delicious food
