Location is super, about 1km hilly walk to grotto. Some of the staff are really kind and friendly. Bertha from the spa is lovely, morning crew front desk aim to please and the lovely manager kept the kitchen open to whip me a desperately needed supper at night. I left my phone in the room (after check out) and housekeeping returned, got a call from property making arrangement to retrieve it.

Built in 1896, the Grand Hôtel Moderne is a fine example of late 19th-century French architecture. It benefits from a privileged location in Lourdes, 50 metres from the Sanctuaries.

We had an amazing stay in Chateaux d'Orleix. I was travelling with my 93 year old mom and they went out of their way to help and make us comfortable. They even changed her room to a downstairs one to avoid the stairs for her. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast amazing and very fresh, the croissants are yummy. The facilities, both in the room and outside are great. Nice pool with enough chairs and parasols, barbecue area, games like darts and jeu de boules. Everything very clean and well-maintained. Location is a bit remote in a small village, so car is recommended to visit all the beauty in the surroundings like The Pyrenees, Lourdes, Tarbes and so on. We were very lucky to see all the 14 Juillet celebrations and to visit the concert of Andrea Bocelli in Lourdes. We had an amazing time and cherish the memories. Thank you all staff at Chateau d'Orleix for making our stay unforgettable.
