The history and ambience of the building itself as well as the view from the (breakfast) restaurant, the garden etc. We got a room facing the car park and road but albeit us generally being sensitive to outside sound it did not blemish our stay at all. Beds were made for dreams and bathroom was super. The staff was very service minded and caring. We travelled by public transport and with a bus stop just opposite the location is ideal. Breakfast as well as the local fish meal we had were fantastic. Good kettle and Coffee, tea and biscuits in ample supply

Paula was a amazing host who made my parents felt very welcomed even though they didn't speak English at all :) Cooked breakfast was really nice. The location was perfect as well - super close to centre of Cowes but sheltered from the noise.
