Everything was perfect. It is located in a quiet little square, close to all the points of interest in Providencia, a 10 min walk from the Los Leones metro station. The cleanliness is impeccable, there is a 24 hour reception desk, the gate is locked all the time giving a feeling of security. The apartment is spacious, with a comfortable bed, a friendly living room and a balcony overlooking the mountains. The staff and the manager Luciano are all professional, friendly and gave me support in everything I needed. If I return to santiago I will definitely make the same choice for accommodation.

Staff Amazing and soo helpful. Ignacia on reception was soo helpful. I left something in the hotel and she went out of her way and found it for me. Great experience. The service and housekeeping was on point as you would expect from a Mandarin Oriental, bringing attention to every detail. The pool area transports you to a resort atmosphere, forgetting you are in the middle of the city. The restaurant Matsuri was phenomenal, we ate there on multiple occasion because we wanted to explore all that the menu could offer. A short ballet rendition of the Nutcracker was organized in the lobby around Christmas time which lifted everyone's spirit. Will come back whenever visiting Santiago.

Just 100 meters from Baquedano Metro Station, Hostal Río Amazonas offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and TV sets. We are in the middle of 3 great neighborhoods, each at 10 min walking distance: Bellavista (nightlife), Lastarria (gastronomy) and Barrio Italia (Antiques and design). Santiago’s historic town center is at 30 min walking or 10 min in public transport. I liked everything about this lovely place.The location was perfect-a short walk to the Metro station.The room was clean and serviced regularly.Sleep quality was excellent.Breakfast each morning was perfect and really prepared me for the day....What I liked most were the staff-friendly,helpful,welcoming and ultra professional.I want to mention Caroline who handled check-in and helped me a lot during the week I spent there...Also,Ron,Janice,Javiera,Antonia,Fran,Christian,Claudia and Sebastian.The staff helped in so many ways to make my stay so enjoyable.This is a top class Hostal and is definitely worth returning to.....Top marks....10 out of 10.

I liked everything. It's a lovely old fashioned and well refurbished building. No elevators due his historical status. Beautiful garden inside. The staff was incredible helpful all the time. Good restaurants at a walking distance.

Mercado centrale, Santa Lucia Hill, etc. - great breakfast/ poached eggs were my favorite - food in the restaurant was awesome/ ceviche is fantastic and must try, - pamper yourself with pisco sour in a hotel bar on a terrace with a great view of Santiago and San Cristobal (funicular) - very helpful, nice and kind staff - they gave us great advice about everything whatever question we had!
