Beautifully appointed property in the stunning town of Gengenbach. Our room, the outdoor area, spa and restaurants were exceptional. We enjoyed two dinners at Cocette and the breakfasts were lovely.

We had a rough travel day and they were all too happy to help us with a reservation in the restaurant and help us both relax. Dinner was delicious and the Peafowl was especially flavorful. The selection presented many local options for different tastes. I only wish we had the energy to stay up for dessert! The bathtub- top notch. While we spent only one night on the property, we fully enjoyed our room and the breakfast the following morning. The chef managing breakfast was very attentive and spoke English with great humor. This hotel is a must stay for the staff and quality of care. I hope very much to return.

They look even better than on the pictures, and have very nice ambiance, that perfectly matches the black forest. We had a 2 day stay only to visit the Rhine waterfalls in Schaffhaussen, Triberg and Feldberg (for some snow). The town nearby (900m) has a nice supermarket. Our host offered to bring fresh buns every morning, which is a good start of the day.
