Authentic Japanese set meals are served for breakfast and dinner. This was probably our favourite accommodation during our entire trip in Japan. Not only was takayama itself beautiful to travel to by train but the hospitality at Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan was amazing and I would definitely return here when I come to Takayama next. Would definitely recommend the traditional meal experience as well! They will also pick you up/drop you off at the train station as well for no extra cost!

Good Location, just few mins walk to JR Station, easy go and from airport. Clean Room, toilet is not plastic toilet and bigger than i expected. Free coffee can take away at 0700-2400. Nice and polite staff, they have smile all the time.

The hotel is located in the center of Takayama city, and there are many restaurants around. The Japanese-style accommodation offers spacious public baths. No meals are provided, but bread and soup are provided as light meals in the room. Free parking is provided on site. Great room space, nice location
