This hostel really surprised me, it was absolutely amazing! My room was comfortable and clean, with some details that I really appreciated - like laundry detergent for hand washing. However, the best thing was the community rooms. I really liked the greenery, the terrace, bar and more - it was a perfect place to relax. Also, the location is great, one can walk to the Daguan park within 30min (or take a bus).

Excellent location next to an area with restaurants and street food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even they didn’t speak English. They used a translator and communication was ok. The room was extremely clean, tidy and comfortable and the accommodation included a nice breakfast

Everything, really. The location, the facilities, the cleanliness, the staff. EVERYTHING! We didn't originally plan to stay here but our first booking was cancelled by the operator at 3am when we landed in China. Talk about bad luck. But Cachet Boutique came to our rescue. The hotel is in a beautifully restored old art-deco building, right in the center of Kunming with the shops, restaurants and night market. The metro station is also withing walking distance. The green lake within walking distance as well. A special thumbs-up for Lingling, the manager, who does everything within her possibilities to assist her guests. She borrowed me a sim card the first day and went with me to the service centre of the provider to buy a sim card and stayed there in the queue with me until they actually installed the card in my phone. Thank you, Lingling, you are the best !

Amazing staff 11/10!! We used Kunming as a travelling hub to go to Laos by train. The Visa upon entry must be paid in dollars, that we did not have. Exchanging currency by foreigners turned out to be very difficult. Two women from the lobby staff went with us to multiple banks and got us the dollar bills. She even had to go home to get her ID and fill out many forms. We had to leave really early the next day and they even arranged to go boxes for us that we could fill with the breakfast that was already prepared. Amazing hospitality! Moreover, great facilities. Large, clean, beautiful and very well equipted rooms. Laundry room is great. Gym is small but functional. It was raining when we were there, but the pool looks great! Location close to train station (train to Laos leaves at the south station though, this took half an hour by didi in the morning for 50 RMB) so great! Insane value for money. Would recommend this to everyone visiting Kunming.
