As our trip was very close to the Oktoberfest dates, most hotels in Munich were either sold out or too expensive. Hotel im Bunker was a very good alternative, with an S-Bahn (surface metro train) station just 2 minutes away, a very good supermarket even closer, restaurants, parking, etc.

Set in a quiet location on the outskirts of Munich, yet close to Untermenzing S-Bahn (suburban rail) station, this charming hotel offers delightful accommodation in a Bavarian country style.

Nice garden with pond, ducks, fish, streams and a dam, bridges, etc. I took a nice walk in the morning with the dogs.

It is a very good hotel outside of city centre of Munich. The room was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower can be a bit better. Wi-Fi is very good. The breakfast is full of options. If you like walking such as I do, the Center is 45 minutes away on foot. They have secure parking. Above all staff is amazing.

This family-run hotel enjoys a quiet location in Planegg, a 25-minute drive from central Munich.
