Aside from the wonderful location, the hotel staff is like no other. Extremely kind and helpful. Ricardo Esteves, the manager at the desk, was extraordinary. He not only helped us during our stay but he offered us help with our reservations at the Washington DC sister hotel (Dupont Circle). The atmosphere at the bar is very nice. You really feel at home.

Loved staying at the Black Lion. It was a very comfortable stay. My husband and I arrived a few hours before check in and we were allowed to have an earlier check in. Our room was clean and fresh. We were given complimentary waters each day. The continental breakfast each morning was fresh and well presented. Not many options for breakfast but I thought it was adequate. The building is beautiful and the pub is exceptional. The area around the Black Lion was lively and safe, nearby bus & train stops. Will definitely recommend staying here

The staff are exceptionally nice and are both helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to help you. The beds are almost too good to be true, you might want to stay in the room and not see the excellent area of Covent Garden.
