The staff were excellent could communicate very well in English. The room was spacious and efficiently designed excellent. Loved that they have a section to the right of the reception where you could listen to old records. Also helps that it’s right next to China Town.

So close to the heart of quaint Chinatown & Mottomatchi shopping Mall and a 10 minute walk to central Kobe through designer shopping streets or one stop on the train. The loop sightseeing bus stops right round the corner in both directions linking to all sights. One stop from the airport monorail to Kobe but we chose to walk the 11 minutes.

the room that I booked was bigger than I was expecting, the location is perfect it’s in the middle of china town so there’s a los of street food, and some shops around.

The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

- Very smooth check-in and communication with the owners - They let you park on their own parking lot - We got everything we needed in the studio (just missing some slippers, but that’s nothing) By far, we got greeted by the nicest people we met in Japan, thank you Nakamura and wife :)
