It was one of the best, the rooms are so big, we are able to gather together with familes and have dinner together with all the nicest appliances and kitchen tools provided. And they provide a dyson hairdryer and all the best kitchen utensils you can borrow including dyson airwrap. Its fenomenal. And lastly all the staffs can speak english and are all very kind. They helped a lot especially they accompany my brother to visit a doctor for his son and the staff helped and waited until everything is finished. Truly an amazing and heartwarming experience.

Very spacious accommodations! Beds were huge and lots of space to spread out after a long day of activities. We were able to get good nights rest and no outside street noise issues. Room handbook explained all you needed to know about the navigating room. Very helpful!
Location was great. Close to Kyoto Station, mall right next door where there was a grocery store, big food court, and shopping for any essentials.
Staff on hand at all times and was very friendly. Felt right at home there. We had luggage service and they placed in our room before we even arrived. Nice! Also assisted with luggage service after checkout.
Highly recommended and would stay there again!

This was our second stay at Sunrise— we liked it so much we booked our Kyoto stay around availability here. The location is great. It’s an easy 15 walk through smaller quiet streets from the station. It’s 5 minutes to both north/south or east/west bus routes. The immediate area has a grocery store, no end of small local excellent restaurants, a couple of good coffee shops and a convenience store. Plus you’re right across the street from an impressive pagoda. As the hotel is set back from the street, it is quiet. The design throughout references many aspects of Japanese culture sometimes with a more modern take. The rooms feel spacious and comfortable, and the small kitchenette is a bonus. The staff are exceptionally gracious and pleasant. Our Japanese is extremely limited and all of the receptionists spoke very good English. Strongly recommended.
