The property is beautifully designed and executed. It is a modern structure that has a lot of traditional Japanese elements, that makes it blend well in the surrounding areas of the old town Takayama. I absolutely enjoyed staying here, if I knew how good this hotel would have been earlier, I would have planned to stay longer.
The spa is very neat and relaxing. They do allow people with tattoos, unlike many other Onsens and public baths in Japan.
The staff here are all very kind and attentive and they went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
The location was also perfect! Just about a 12 minute walk from the train station, and many bars and restaurants around under 5-10 minute walk away. The preserved old town is just 2 minutes away, and is on the parallel street.

Great location next to the old town district. excellent facilities friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the Imperial Suite...very generous size and great facilities. excellent breakfast in a private room. We had one dinner at the hotel and it was very good.

Excellent and beautiful property. It was bitterly cold when we arrived but the property inside was so welcoming and warm.
It has very nice decor and was impeccably clean and tidy, every creature comfort is accommodated for.
The location is excellent for walking through the wonderful town and easy to walk for meals. Would stay again and highly recommend. One of the best places we stayed in Japan.

Our hosts were amazing. Apple pie to welcome us and lots of information to help us plan our stay. The rooms are warm and cozy and the hot shower was great. A nice quiet location but so close to everything meant we walked everywhere. Shared a wonderful meal out with our hosts on our last night at one of their favorite local restaurants.
