Everyone was nice and helpful. I felt safe during my whole stay there even though I was travelling alone and it was my first time in NYC. The kitchen is huge with a lot of utilities and everything you might need, I also liked that you can leave something and mark it with the provided stickers “free food”. I attended the comedy show two times on my first and last night - they were free, but the comedians were cool and overall the atmosphere at the hostel was very friendly. I appreciate the opportunity to leave your luggage after you leave the room, so you can explore the city. When I arrived, my room wasn’t ready and they took my suitcases to the storage for free.

Location of hotel was very convenient to reaching other parts of Manhattan. Our room was quiet as requested. The room size was larger than expected. Beds were comfortable. The maintenance staff was very helpful in fixing our in-room safe. Overall a nice comfortable stay.

Size and comfort of room exceeded expectations. Fabulous view towards Central Park. Kitchenette a really useful feature, especially when staying a week. Front desk friendly and helpful. They fulfilled requests promptly and efficiently. Relatively quiet location away from hurly burly of Times Square Only (one stop on 2&3 trains from 72nd St subway station).

I had a lovely time at the Empire! The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend this place and I will come back!
