The family running the hostel is fantastic. When walking along the road towards the village where the hostel is locasted I was stopped by a young guy on scooter, who offered me lift to the hostel - he was the son of the owner and once asked how he recognized I was heading for his hostel simply answered "I saw you were carrying a backpack, so for sure you headed for the hostel and my hostel is the only one in the village". The hostel is located a bit off the main street so it is quite. Rooms are basic but have everything you need - WiFi -good, fast and reliable, TV set, air conditioning, private WC, toiletries, fridge. Meals are available, good and very cheap - dinner costs abt. USD 3.00 (70 k VND), breakfast - USD 1.00 (VND 25 k). I drank here the best ice caffee I have ever had (USD 0.60 - VND 15k). Transfer from/ to the airport on scooter may be arranged at USD 2.50 (60k VND). Laundry service is available (USD 0.80/ kg). As it is a fishers' village so if you like fish and sea food it is a right place - there are plenty restaurants along the sea shore offering daily catch. As this food is not of my prefences I did not try it so no idea about its quality. Only few tourists show up here, people mostly do not speak English, public buses do not reach this village but if you look for a quite place to rest without crowds, noise and all this tourist industry- it is the right destination. The hostel is highly recommended for short and long stay. As it is not a tourist resort do not expect perfect beaches and very clear water. Generally beaches are dirty and water is often murky and not clear, especially in windy and rainy days.

Jamie's resort was really a perfect choice for us for our stay on Phu Quoc. Firstly, again warmest thanks to Jamie who is the best host and he lives up to all of the great reviews you are probably reading. His resort is a perfect place to unwind after so much travelling. Bungalows were very nice, clean and spacious; in general the whole resort was very calm and it made us feel truly at home. The beach was very nice with shallow water, I think it would be amazing especially for families with kids, cause the shallow water goes for a very very long time (apparently on the east side of the island there are more shallow waters and on the western a bit deeper) For breakfast there was a very nice choice of served dishes and for lunch and dinner we were very happy to order some Western cuisine, which missed a lot. We also received tons of recommendations what to do around Phu Quoc which made our trip even more special.

Amazing view...right on the beach. Best view we've ever had. There's a private beach, use of paddleboard, kayak, bikes. Staff are so friendly and kind. Aline is super helpful. The room is huge with lots of light. I recommend the Seaview Queen room!! Immaculately clean. NEW AND CLEAN! The view the view the view!! Great place to relax and chill. Breakfast is amazing with great Vietnamese and Western options...fresh fruit, coffee, orange juice included.

Great place for a bit of r&r on the quiet and mostly in developed side of the island which was exactly what we wanted for our 3 night stay. Really good communication and everything ran like clockwork from the taxi to bike hire (which is a must for this property).

We stayed in an overwater bungallow, it was very nice and conveniente, the breakfast was various and delicious, the staff was helpful, the garden and pool area is very nice.

This is one of the best stays we had during our stay in Vietnam. It is beautifully set up with a private beach. Sunsets are amazing to experience. Should plan to stay here for the whole day without planning for any other activity to experience the complete package.

The cottages are beautifully situated on the beach, with plenty of deck chairs. The pool is also lovely and overlooks the sea. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing! A great place to stay for a quiet and relaxing getaway, with some nice bars and restaurants close by.
