What a wonderful place and hosts. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth, openness and baked goods! The chalet was built with their own hands and while a little basic, it was exactly what we wanted. The drive to the farm is past wonderful hills and lakes and we would have loved to spend many more days hiking the area, it left us with a desire to come back and visit Donegal for longer. It should be noted that there was barely any wifi reception which we needed to plan our route for the next day but with a little persistence we were able to connect for long enough for this purpose. In the evening Marion and Fiona gave us a little demo on their fiddles and we were very grateful to hear about their lives in Ireland and the centrality of music.

Helen and her husband were the best! We lost track of time and arrive after hours, but he was expecting us with all the simpathy. The room was really confortable and the bathroom was huge and only for us. We met Helen ( and Toby, the newest cute pet member of their family!) at the breakfast, where she was amazing, super caring and delivered us super fresh food.
