I cannot write an objective review for the place since from me this was like a pilgrimage because I am just a huge fan of Geoffrey Bawa. Just being there was a dream come true! The staff is exceptional, very thoughtful and well mannered. The small touches like the happy hour where they serve home infused gin and tonic ( Bawa’s favourite) by the Lunuganga is an experience in itself. The sense was of history , his whimsical sense of design , his attention to detail is a learning in itself.. What a legacy !

The staff is extremely professional and friendly, and the garden is beautifully groomed, located on the edge of a river. The food is delicious and presented artistically. I loved every moment here. The doctors, yoga, and treatments are great! It's a must stay for 7 or 14 days. I'll definitely be back.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Shandaru Blue Bentota! The hotel is located in a peaceful area, just a short walk from the beach, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What really stood out was the exceptional hospitality — the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.
