The Hotel: A beautiful property with stunning original architecture and decorative details—truly candy for the eyes! The magnificent traveler’s palm trees in the courtyard were absolutely striking. Room: Very comfortable overall. Good a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with enough amenities. Quietness: Despite being on a busy street, the inside of the hotel felt completely insulated from the noise of traffic. Room is very quite ( without the AC on) Location: Quite good. While the street itself isn’t particularly interesting, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The walk is safe, even at night. Parking: A paid private parking lot was available at another property right next door , and the cost was quite reasonable.

Merida is a great and beautiful city to visit and Casa Tavera is perfectly located. It is a beautiful hotel with all the intimacy and tranquility we wanted. We received an upgrade to the most beautiful room (Kinich), it was magnificent. We enjoyed their delicious breakfast on the balcony in front of our room. The pool is beautiful, all the facilities we needed we're there and if we had a question the staff was more than happy to help. They gave us tips even without asking such as the tip (and glasses) to go enjoy the eclipse. All in all we are over the moon about this trip and this hotel!
