How do you imagine Scottish inn in the village? That's what the Horseshoe Inn is. Great beer, lovely personnel, gorges breakfast. And lot of wisdom from Winston Churchill to Mark Twain.

We stayed at the Heatherlie Hotel for 2 nights and could have quite happily stayed longer, we were met by the host Sunny and he made sure we were well taken care of for our entire stay. The building is beautiful and has been kept very well. The rooms were very cosy and we were well catered for. Breakfast was perfect and exactly as expected. The location of the hotel is great, in a nice quiet spot but still close enough to the centre of the town and to bus stops too. Would definitely visit again.

Quietly situated within the Scottish Borders. Free high-speed WiFi is available in all areas and there is free onsite parking. This Victorian property also boasts many original features.

PERFECT is the only term that can qualify this outstanding establishment : impoising and manor like exteriorly, but happily surrounded by beautiful ground and flowers. Warm welcome on arrival, fantastic, spacious room where no comfort or detail is missing, very good bed AND armchairs, very quiet. Spacious and pleasant bar and restaurant, and the best food we’ve had among the 10 hotels we’ve stayed at during our trip. It is truly wonderful to end our journey on such a wonderful note. Thank you Glen Hotel and all its staff!

Bags of character, attentive efficient staff and very pleasant location close to the unique Rosslyn chapel. Cooked breakfast was beyond expectations.

Stable Cottage provided us with a truly delightful and relaxing stay. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the generous size of the cottage, offering ample space to unwind and feel at home. Comfort was clearly a priority, and we found the cottage to be exceptionally well-equipped and furnished. One of the standout features was the lovely garden, a true haven of tranquility.
