This hostel is for women only and is super well located, a few cafes and kissaten around and only a 10-15mn walk to the main touristic places (Kumamoto castle etc.). It was super clean, 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets, the futons were thick and super comfortable, and the lady running it was so nice. She also speaks English. Towels can be bought there for ¥200-500 depending on the size as well as toothbrushes. Also provides shampoo and body wash. The room was well heated and we had a great sleep. 100% recommend. We didn’t use it but there’s also a kitchen and a coffee corner.

Good location on the river so nice for walks. Quiet. Bathroom was nice (I liked the shower although the water temperature fluctuated). Lots of dinosaur stickers so good for a family with young kids. Has parking but there are restaurants within walking distance.
