English available. House is perfect clean, and the wood style let me feel very cozy, quiet surroundings with the river view. Most importantly, the room size is big. Enough shower room and toilet for guests, and also super clean. There are a lot of nice local seafood restaurants with good prices near by Sora, which you will get recommendations from the book on reception.

Everything in the place was positive surprise for me. This is an old hostel style accommodation so you cannot compare it to the hotels/resorts/etc. However, the successive night my accommodation is a popular chain hotel in Japan but I miss the Taikoji hostel in which I spend the previous night:) the hostel is an old house made of wood with leaky windows and thick paper-made walls. I was the only guest that night and it was an excellent experience.
