Staying with Kota and his family was absolutely wonderful! They have a lovely house, everything is clean and comfortable, but more than than that, is the pleasure of staying in a real home in a beautiful place. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse has a nostalgic flare, lots of wood, great atmosphere. We had ordered a veggie dinner and breakfast, and all was home made and good. We arrived after dark and after hours of rain on our motorbikes, and the hosts let us dry our gear in the main room which is much appreciated. // Our host also told us about the mountain road ahead which is forbidden for motorcycles. We were gutted but very happy he told us so we could plan our next day accordingly. // I would certainly stay again!

Everything from the stay to the host. Hiro-san was very accommodating and communication was done via Google Translate 😂 nevertheless we were able to understand each other pretty well. Stink bugs were one but we made it into a family adventure of sorts.

The absolute loveliest stay I’ve had in Japan. What a delight the hosts are - Glenda is an absolute gem and the loveliest. She used to tour around Japan as a singer! If you’re lucky enough, you can get her to sing a bit for you. Her husband is an incredibly talented chef and cooked us a huge and wonderful dinner - probably the best food I’ve had in Japan. Strong recommend!

The host was kind, considerate and warm! She made our stay extremely comfortable, and the futons were the most comfortable we had ever slept on!!!
