We liked the most was Raj. He is the guy who manage the place and he is an absolute pleasure. His professionalism and friendliness really helped us enjoy the trip. It was such a nice place. He made tea for us, got us food and did everything we asked without any complaints. We would go there again, just for him.

The owner was very helpful and attentive. He made sure my stay was comfortable. 5 mts walk to the city center. Steep climb to the property, I took a tuck tuck only US 0.50 cents from the train station. Owner arranged for breakfast and dinner at a restaurant next door.

Whatever I say, I have not said enough about the unique experience I had in this little paradise, with the beautiful people who are the owners of this paradise. They made my trip to Sri Lanka a memorable one. Saman and his wife are two sweet people who welcome their guests with all their heart... They would wake up early in the morning with us and make sandwiches for us to go out. I will always remember the food, the amazing breakfast, the clean rooms and the comfortable bed. With generosity and kindness, Saman took me to all the interesting and scenic spots in the region and patiently spent time with me. I travel alone, and being with a family that makes you feel safe and at home is one of the most beautiful things about traveling alone... I want to go back to Sri Lanka and visit this beautiful family directly. And this will be one of the most important reasons to think again in my travels to Sri Lanka. The location of the house is excellent, you will be in the middle of the tea plantation with a five-minute walk, and you can reach the lake near the house with a fifteen-minute walk.

A great place to stay with a very kind and friendly host, who also works as a tuk-tuk driver and tour guide. Breakfast is included, and dinner can be provided upon request for an additional cost. We also had barbecue there in the night. I would definitely recommend this place

This place is truly wonderful. The house itself is beautifully designed and built. You can tell that a lot of care went into it, and everything feels high-quality and comfortable. The garden is incredibly peaceful, and the natural spring is just magical. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms and the entire house are as clean as a 5-star hotel. There's a really nice atmosphere about the whole place. The location is great too. It's quiet and relaxing, but it's also only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and downtown Hatton. Nana, the owner and host, is fantastic. He used to play on the Sri Lankan national football team, which makes for great stories. He's really welcoming and makes you feel at home, but he also knows when to give you space. The food he cooks is delicious, and he always gives generous portions. He's a really interesting and fun person to talk to. He's happy to help you with anything you need and really looks out for his guests. He's also a trained physical therapist, so he gave me a great massage. After a few days hiking the Pekoe Trail, it was exactly what I needed. If you're hiking Adam's Peak, he even packs a lunch for you. I don't usually write reviews like this, but I honestly can't recommend Ulpatha enough. The house itself is easily a 10, and Nana's hospitality makes it even better. I wish I could give it 20 stars! If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, you should definitely consider Ulpatha.

I loved my stay at heaven's hill! Namal is such a nice and caring host, making his guests feel welcomed and feel right at home. The food is excellent - they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on request. The rooftop is a great place to do yoga, meditate or drink a cup of tea. I highly recommend booking a waterfall Tuk Tuk tour with Namals brother. He knows all the good spots and basically everyone in and around town - the way to the waterfalls itself is amazing and you'll have a lot of fun. Thank you guys again for making me feel like home. I hope to come back soon.

The location is phenomenal! The building has so many windows and French doors, it gets a lot of natural light. There are private balconies in the rooms; however what really spoke to me are the airy livingrooms and varendas on each floor. If you wake up early you can catch stunning pink dawn and orange sunrise. They grow some of their own vegetables and they are tasty.
