We like the people, especially the manager Inbaraj, who is a great and kind man. He showed us the cinnamon plantations and explained how everything is used, he was so kind. We liked the dinner, the best chicken curry we tried so far in Sri Lanka, also there was a desert, we liked a lot. The room was clean, sanitized, everything was great, the view from our room was great. Mr. Inbaraj also treat us with the best papaya juice, coffee and the plantation harvests. We are so grateful and happy that we choose this place for our stay in Yala. The place is also near the Yala park, which was great as well.

The hosts here are amazing, friendly and helpful. We stayed here to do Yala national park and even when we had to leave at 5:45 for our tour, the hosts still got up early to have coffee ready for us before hand. The rooms are comfy and spacious. Thanks so much :)

Awesome cabins!! You can tell, Fernando put so much thought and work in it! Sitting together, playing drums every evening and connect with people is something we really have missed during our Sri Lanka stay everywhere else. The community is great and very welcoming. We’ll come again!

Clean and quiet. The staff were exceptional. They organized a driver his name was Prasad. Very knowledgeable, nice, took the time to make you have a laugh every once in a while. They have good connections inside the park to get the most out of the experience. I usually don’t write reviews but they let us check out later than usual(waiting for a taxi to the next spot).There one staff member I can’t remember his name (sorry buddy!)went out of his way to talk about his experiences living in the area.

We had a fantastic stay, with our Family. Every detail this place is so well thought out not only functionally but also aesthetically. Such beautiful Old traditional Clay rooms and surroundings. The staff is super friendly and helpful and what was also super appreciated was that everything is included. We had 3 delicious meals served, plenty of drinks and the safari experience was amazing. We saw Elephant, leopards, crocodiles, bear and many other wild animals. If you are going to Yala National Park this must be the place to stay - we are quite sure that no other places beat this.

Katagamuwa Rest is a great place to stay—calm, clean, and definitely high value for the money. The host, Asanka, is very friendly and polite, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the added kitchen facility was very convenient.
