Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

This place is defined by its location on the edge of the desert. The room was functional, sparcely decorated, with surprisingly good a/c and wifi. The bathroom was rather crude. The breakfast was good and served at 7 a.m. to fit in with the 4.30-6.30 a.m. camel ride. The owner was charming (he got up to make sure we got on the camels at 4.30 a.m.) There are two camels to pet (though those were not the ones we rode).

It was a lovely stay, the location is isolated and quiet, the last house before the desert, so to some it s a good thing, to others is not. We enjoyed beeing close to nature. Mohamed is a lovely host and ha can arrange private camel rides and 4x4 in the desert at very good prices. We did both and loved it and I recomend you do the same, the experience is really really good.
