That was the highlight of this travel to Egypt. The hotel itself is calm, super clean, with a comfortable room. You have to take a boat to join the hotel but it passes often and only costs 10EGP per person.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the possibility of having dinner at the property, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A special mention must go to Mahmoud, who was always there to assist us with anything we needed. What truly set him apart was that he wasn’t just a businessman—he was a local who genuinely loves his hometown, and that passion was reflected in every interaction. Unlike many others, he never tried to push excursions or sell us anything. Instead, he adapted to what we wanted, offering sincere recommendations and making sure we had the best possible experience. This was an amazing find. The host and his wife that runs the Guest House are super helpfull. The room is recently build, so everything is very new, from bed sheets, towels to AC. AC is perfect. There is also a balcony on the top either a virw to the Nile and artificial grass, so you can just chill at the floor at the sunset. The water pressure and temperature of the shower is very good. There is a 24h boat that runs every 5minutes to the city and back, so no worries if you arrive late, I arrived at 02am and It was so easy to check in. They are amazing hosts. The Nubian Village where the Guest House is is clean and very humble. It is indeed a unique and humble experience in Aswan. I recommend so much. Go with your hearts open and will be a incredible experience.

Each room has a patio with views of the river. Nice Nile view. The room was clean and Ahmed is a nice guy who showed me around. Very close to the south pier. Would recommend.

The property has mountain and river views, and is 7.6 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum. The guest house features family rooms. The rooms where spacious and clean. I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

We are extremely pleased with our decision to extend our stay here after our Nile cruise. Missing this unique Nubian experience would have been a significant regret.
