We were traveling from Germany, and due to heavy rain and traffic, we arrived at the hotel well past midnight. To our surprise, the host greeted us with a warm smile, instantly making us feel welcome despite the late hour. We later learned that the hotel was lovingly named after the host’s mother, which added a heartfelt personal touch to our stay. The next morning, breakfast was absolutely fabulous, with thoughtfully arranged separate tables for each family, ensuring both comfort and privacy. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and always eager to meet our needs with a smile.

The Filzmoos Tourist card that was included in the price allowed us to use the cable car up the mountain and ride in the ALMI (big tractor with a trailer). The breakfast was excellent with many different options.

Swimming Lake Pichl is located 1 km from the property, and hiking trails start on the doorstep. Very cozy place to stay, staff is friendly and speak enghlish. A little bit out of the way if you are planning to spend most of your time in central Schladming, but perfect if you want to experience the serene tranquility of the Steiermark mountains.
