We did the surf lessons through the hostel which were super fun. The instructors were really knowledgeable and helped us improve our surfing so much. We also got a massage at the new oasis spa on the property which was very nice. The breakfast was also really tasty and had good options—smoothie bowls, pancakes, egg sandwich, eggs. What made this stay really exceptional, however, was the staff! They were all so friendly and helpful. It was so sad to say goodbye after our 5 days at secret spot!

If you are not the hike-or-die type, ask your hosts to bring you up to the foothills of Rinjani - and breathe in silence... I've seen and felt in a week more than I would do in two months back home. Also, very important!, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe with my hosts. I felt protected, respected and genuinely understood.
