It was designed by the owner and you can see the personal care behind it. Bunks in dorms are clean, spacious and super cozy with the wooden aesthetic. The staff was so welcoming and generous, it was great to be able to meet them as a solo traveller and made it feel like I was staying with friends. Walking distance to train station and large supermarket only 10 mins away. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will come back here if I come back to Shikoku.

Extremely close to Sunday Market and the hirome market. Bed was clean and comfortable. Communal areaa like shower/basins/kitchenette/dining area were clean and well thought out.

I would love to return for longer next time.

Everything was comfortable and well-located in a beautiful area. Ryu San was very accommodating of us as well.

The house is beautifully designed and we loved that it's different than most Japanese guest houses. It's lovely to have such a modern and cozy concept in a small town, away from the crowds. There is actually a lot of charm in the town and it was one of our favorite stops on a month-long trip to Japan. That is also because of Alrik, who manages the property. He was so kind, hospitable, and friendly! We felt welcomed as friends, not just hotel guests. He did everything we could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a beautiful forest around, the view from the top of the town is lovely, so is the walk by the river and sunset. The Shinto shrine was such a special experience too! Thank you, Alrik and Next Chapter for this beautiful stay! We will come back to the area just to visit the guest house again, especially if Alrik is still running it!

Breakfast served was wonderful, egg, fruit and yoghurt. The house had been carefully been renovated 5 years ago. The setting in the valley is wonderful. We could swim in the river just 2 min walk from the house.
