From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. The owner is incredibly kind, and we really enjoyed our daily conversations with him before and after exploring Matsushima. The facilities were clean and pleasant, and the guest rooms are located on the first floor, while he and his wife live downstairs. The location was perfect, and the owner was very helpful with recommendations for places to eat, things to see, and other tips. A special thanks goes to him and his wife on our last day, when we had to be evacuated due to a tsunami warning. They took care of us and brought us to safety further inland. They made sure we stayed informed, drove us around to find food, and helped us find a place to sleep for the night. This experience truly reflects their warm hospitality. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Japan. (If you are into music i believe you will enjoy seeing his record collection) crazy 😁

The guest house is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

I discovered the three sacred mountains of Haguro, Gassan, and Yudono, part of the Dewa Sanzan, and I wanted to experience them all. The traditional accommodation was simple, beautiful, and full of charm .Bus stop and great food spot just across the street. I truly didn’t want to leave. What made it even more special were the two amazing women who run the place with such kindness and care. I felt at home from the moment I arrived. I will never forget my time here.
