Everything was just as promised. There were no other guests that night so I had the living room and verandah to myself. Everything went as expected.

The place is on a hill a short tuktuk away from the city. It’s a very serene location and a peaceful place to come back to after a busy day in the city. Rooms are very clean and offering a lovely terrace with panoramic views over Kandy. There is also tea available at all times in the shared kitchen. Karun is such a wonderful host and organised the perfect tour of Kandy. He made my experience as a solo traveler very enjoyable and took me to local places to eat and experience Kandy life as a true local. Karun’s endless kindness was so warming. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect retreat after a long day. The owner’s hospitality was exceptional – they greeted us warmly with refreshing juice upon arrival, making us feel right at home. The breakfast in the morning was generous and delicious, offering a great start to our day. If you’re looking for a friendly atmosphere and comfortable accommodations, Yashi’s place is a must-visit. There is a book in common area in which other traveller's have written about other places in Sri Lanka. They have a washing machine with detergent for free and a large drying area. The body wash, shampoo & shower setup was amazing.

The traditional restaurant at the guest house serves Asian cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch. Incredible stay. Very clean and comfortable, with working AC and a ceiling fan. Both warm and cold water for the shower. Most notably, the hosts were fantastic! So welcoming and so helpful. When we arrived they drove us to a scooter rental so we could get our scooter. The one day we had to leave early to go to Sigiriya for the day and they packed us a breakfast to go. Dinner at their restaurant was affordable and delicious. On the morning we left, they drove us to the bus station and stayed with us to make sure we caught the right bus. If you’re staying in Dambulla you should definitely stay here. These may be the most helpful hosts I’ve ever had while travelling across Southeast Asia.
