The most excellent accommodation. Everything was 100%. Great room. Great staff. Great breakfast. Great Location. I just wish I had booked for longer. This is more impressive than some hotels I have stayed in. Lots of small touches to make your stay better.

We needed somewhere to stay that was close to the property we are renovating, and it was ideal . The room was very clean and modern deco . The modern bathroom was lovely, and shower pressure was good . The owner was very informative on where best to eat etc . Would definitely recommend staying in these rooms .

The guesthouse is in a lovely spot in the Lake Districts, peaceful, and very picturesque. Withing easy reach of both the lakes and the Cumbria coast. Near to an entry point on the lake for some wild swimming. Also close to Bassenthwaite Station Restaurant where an afternoon tea is served. The room, which had a beautiful view, was neat, clean, tidy, and comfortable. The bed linen was lovely and crisp, and the towels fluffy. We had a private bathroom across the hallway, with a lovely deep bath, plenty of hot water. The breakfast was the best that I have been served in a hotel for a very long time. Ordering the night before is a great idea. Everything was ready and fresh. The homemade granola is really quite something. The cooked breakfast looked and tasted great. Toast was nicely toasted (and brought to the table rather than having to stand and watch a toaster). Great pot of tea made fresh on arrival in the dining room. Breakfast portion sizes are generous! The owners, Ben and Virginia, couldn't have been more welcoming. Friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There is a lounge available for guests. We didn't use this, but it looked very comfortable. Books, fridge, microwave. Plenty of parking available.

Comfortable bed, cozy little room with a homely feel, what’s not to like. We specifically loved the help yourself breakfast - this allowed us to get up very early, make ourselves some meal and leave early to explore. The owner is a very lovely lady too!

Great size of rooms. Staff were brilliant and they left a lovely wecome pack of goodies. Facilities were excellent.

A 5-minute walk from Bassenthwaite Lake, this Victorian country guest house has forest and fells views and offers chic bedrooms, free high speed WiFi throughout the property.
