Owners Emil amd Sylivia were kind, fun loving people. We had wonderful conversations sharing our different cultures and views. Sylvia will go above and beyond, a mother and kind caretaker. My favorite homestay hosts. Wpuls definitely stay again and recommend them. Be prepared to have no wifi, but there is excellent cellular service.

We had a great time at this simple homestay. The host family were very humble and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The homestay is located very close to the living root bridge. If you want to experience simple life of Khasi people then we recommend this place for you. Would love to come here again.

I had a nice stay near the village (close but not too close; I walked to town and met neighbors daily). I also met fellow travelers - and ventured with some. I visited the caves and the double decker root bridge, yet also met many warm open friendly Khasi people (adults& kids) - even played football, 😊

Ben was very helpful and he helped us with dinner when things were closed. Room was clean and comfortable according to its price. Quiet and peaceful location. You can walk to Mawlynnong from this village and it takes about 20 minutes of walk.
