The whole experience was very welcoming. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese experience this is it. The house itself is a step back in time with the tatami mats and japanese relics in the house. The food was prepared and served with such warmth. The owners were incredibly kind and generous, they had toys for the kids and candy. They even offered to drive us to the station! The neighborhood is away from the busy area. Behind the house, it had the best view of Mt fuji without the business of the touristy area!

After several days in impersonal Tokyo hotels, this lovely guesthouse was so restorative. The staff is wonderful - always friendly and welcoming. The room is cosy and nice. Location is excellent. The shabu-shabu dinner that can be ordered for an extra fee was really good, and a great experience.
