Super clean, the room is very spacious, has two shared-but-private onsen baths (meaning you can lock it for your own use). Kitchen fully equipped with grill, microwave oven, pan stoves, dishes and cutlery, fridge. The toilets are shared but there are plenty in the inn. Kotatsu in the shared living room! Ayana san, the person taking care of the place, is super helpful and friendly (she gave me a lot of tips about the local baths, to contacting the bus station to make sure I got the right information for onward journey).

The breakfast was delicious. Varied, nutritious and traditionally Japanese. Real attention to detail and we looked forward to it each morning. The staff at the hotel could not have been friendlier. They picked us up from the bus stop and helped us get discounts for the ski hire. They also went to buy discounted ski lift passes for us when needed. Little things as well like providing wellington boots for our walks into town (after a deluge of snow) made this visit very special. Thank you so much .

Staffs - The staffs managing the hotel made me feel at home with their friendliness and attention to details. They are also very knowledgeable about the places of interest around Nozawa Onsen. I've been in Japan for close to 3 weeks and this is the first place where I felt like coming back to home after a day of snowboarding. Breakfast made by them were sumptuous as well! I love chilling at the common area due to its cleanliness and tea/coffee is available anytime. Not a speck of dirt during my stay there( some kids dropped their cookies while eating but it was quickly cleaned up by the staffs). Location - Right next to 1 of the gondola. If your main objective is to snowboard or ski, this is the place for you. Although the main street is a bit of walk down the slope, well...you can't have the best of both world I guess which is fine by me. Facilities - As mentioned, the common area is one of the best aspect of this place. The shared toilet is cleaned and well equipped as well with heater installed(if you are that cold..)

Couldn't recommend this place highly enough! It's only couple of minutes walk to the main gondola and it has a great dry room and ski storage is really well laid out. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We had the optional Japanese breakfast each day which was great and amazing value. It's in a quiet part of town with very little noise but only about 3min walk to the center of town with lots of restaurants and shops. Would also recommend the hot-pot dinner they do every night.

The warmest place we’ve stayed! Staff were really nice and everything was tidy. The room was warmed for us when we arrived and when we returned after skiing it was easy to rewarm the room!

Easy check-in and checkout, close to everything, and VERY good value for the money. Lots of onsen nearby for morning/night shower since the stay itself doesn't have any ways of showering. They also provide a towel set for onsen, which you can bring to the onsens so you don't have to rent. Parking is great too!
