I rate a 10/10, because you can't put more, Cause it really is one of the few places that I have felt like home. Both Nelson and Alex, have been super attentive at all times, and their hospitality (also of their staff) have been truly charming. I want to highlight two things that we loved, the pool in the middle of the rooms, and above all Mr. Chef, Nelson himself is a spectacular cooker. It is also really appreciated the great attention they have given us at all times. Being away from home and being able to stay in places like this is really satisfying and comforting. If we return to Sri Lanka one day, we will surely stay at La Perla

Starting with the room, it was very beautiful and comfortable - a bit small, but it's the nicest room I've ever stayed in.The bathroom was private, spacious, and clean. Almost everything! The whole family made our stay incredible, felt a bit like being around your own family. -Food is healthy and home cooked every single day, breakfast is amazing. There’s too much option to choose from. Baba, our day to day server, even jumped up to climb trees to get us some fresh coconuts. -Room is immaculate, you won’t find any dust and they clean everyday. It’s a nice feeling coming home from a day trip. We found almost no mosquitoes or insects at all. -Shower, it can be really hot shower above 8 o’clock in the morning, try to take your shower early. We enjoyed our outdoor shower, birds chirping and the river behind the property makes it really sound idyllic. -Location, it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere (which we enjoy), but you can easily access the road and the beach within 10 mins, and they provide tuk tuk (or car) to transfer to the nearest beach which is handy. - Staff! Shout out to Roshana, Baba, and Ishuru to name a few! Amazing people and very good at they do. The family provides recommendations for trips all around the country. They literary took us everyone, which we found super convenient and well priced. Overall, we were super impressed by this little gem!

Location is fantastic. On the main road (yet not noisy at night) so easy to find. Close to Bentota railway station, beach, shops, restaurants, and the main town. The room and bathroom was so incredibly clean. What makes this place even more special is the couple that live there and own the place. Honestly, the most genuine and lovely people I’ve come across throughout my Sri Lankan adventure. Food can be provided up request for a small fee and is absolutely delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough. I wish I had more time so I could stay here longer! You will not regret staying here! It’s genuinely home away from home!

Absolutely amazing place. The owners were so lovely and really attentive - they even gave us complimentary drinks and fruits from the garden and called us when there were monkeys and birds around. Was in a beautiful setting at one with nature but still just a short walk to shops and restaurants. The room, bathroom and balconies couldn’t have been nicer. Best place we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka :)

This place is an absolute gem! I arrived here with no expectations and was stunned to find a beautiful, upmarket , immaculately clean villa, 5 minutes walk from the beach . The owner cannot do enough to make your stay memorable which included driving us to a spectacular fish restaurant in his tuk tuk. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had since being here in Sri Lanka in the most fabulous,most enormous four poster bed I’ve ever been in ! Value for money is simply outstanding!

It is absolutely amazing value for such a small price. There are 2 cabins in the garden of a local family. Also, there is a beautiful bathroom with working hot water (not always the case in Sri Lanka). The family was professional, spoke good English and was always there when you needed them, however otherwise it was very private. You can order great breakfast and dinner for the lowest price I have seen in Sri Lanka and also the laundry is very affordable. It was so quiet there and just in middle of nature, I loved walking in the village. You would be staying in a beautiful and peaceful village, however the centre and beach is only 20 minutes walk away + tuk tuk is like 30 cents. The cabin was very comfortable, it had a really strong fan, good universal socket and huge bed. Also towels included. If you look for a peaceful stay at local village then this place is for you.
