A nice, quiet place to stay in the Cinnamon Gardens away from the frenetic city center. The rooms are large and bright and the house is lovely. The host is very wonderful and helpful, a delight to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay there. We’d be happy to stay there again on our next trip to Sri Lanka. There is not much to eat around the guest house, it is a quiet residential neighborhood with sports fields and offices and such. It is quite pleasant to walk around. A 200-300 rupee tuk tuk ride will bring you to several places to eat, bank etc. We highly, highly recommend eating at Ran Bath Organic which was recommended to us by the host. The food there is perhaps the best we had in our entire trip. Also, a short walk up Maitland is the Glomark supermarket where you can find a wide range of items, as well as alcohol and a pharmacy. Upstairs is a small food court. The food doesn’t really stand out, but if you don’t want to go very far to get something to eat, that’s the place to go. Skip the laundry at the side, it’s very expensive and very slow.

The house is a treasure. Rohana is the most kind host you can ever ask for. Overall service is the best, they are so attentive and kind. It’s also pretty amazing that you have the whole house to yourself. Absolutely nothing I would change!

Had a wonderful stay at Sayura when I just arrived in Colombo. The house is beautiful and airy, and they even gave me the choice between two rooms. My room was super comfy and I loved the fact that they are very eco-conscious and give you a glass bottle with filtered water and products in big bottles. Also got really good coffee to prepare in my own room. On the property there is also a yummy Poke restaurant, perfect if you want something different than curries & Co. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and of course there is Max their lovely dog!

Host Rohan was very kind hearted. LUMBINI home stay was very warm. Rohan gave us the walk through on checkin which made us comfortable and homely. Property was well maintained taken care of minutest thing required in the room, with great ambience. Property has proper parking facility with safety lock. Hotel Anna Lakshmi was our research during the visit to Mount Lavinia Beach, which served mouth watering and lip smacking dishes.

Hot water, strong wifi, and great hosts, this homestay is an oasis in Colombo. It has a pretty garden and is quiet at night, so you can get a good night's sleep. This place was exactly what I needed after being sick. Everything is new, and it looks like the photos. The owner was amazing. He was very responsive to all my WhatsApp inquiries prior to my arrival. He even drove me to the hospital to see a doctor. I'll be coming back on my way back to Colombo.
