We booked quite last minute and arrived in the evening, we were picked up and welcomed with a traditional Sri Lankan meal cooked by the amazing nana Nandi. The rooms are clean and the surroundings beautiful and quiet (apart from the beautiful nature sounds). Sudesh the owner is super helpful and tries to accommodate you in every need (from a Kandy tour, tuktuk service, or help by choosing a taxi driver, to a nice chat with a beer). The family has a lovingly warmth which makes you feel welcomed and at ease. We stayed here with our kids, but I would also recommend it to couples without. The fact that there are (almost) daily cooking classes makes it easy to meet people. To summarize: a recommendation from my heart! We will meet again <3

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain View. The quality-price ratio is excellent, with clean and comfortable rooms that ensured a relaxed environment. Karu, the owner, was incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make our experience memorable. He took us on tours to the most interesting places in Kandy, sharing his local insights and making us feel at home. Piyal was a total gentleman. He was hospitable, informative, and efficient. He organised transport for us ( both during and onwards)made phone calls and booked the cultural show for us. I think he spoke better English than me!!! The Grove itself is beautiful. It had all the facilities required ( no refrigerator in room or kettle but filter water available on tap in the shared lounge and Tea/ coffee on request). It was spotlessly clean. Dinner was available via the hotel next door- it was brought over for you so you wouldn't really have noticed. Beer was also available. There was also a pool next door, a 3 minute walk. It has spectacular views- one of the highlights of the Grove.

The warmest hosts we have met during our stay in Sri Lanka so far. You feel like coming home and you’re taken care of very well. Everything is very clean and tidy, the room is nice. Ordered dinner was delicious and the hosts helped us with everything we needed.
