A lot of! The accommodation is in a wonderful location in front of a lake. It has many details that make it feel like home, like a tree house, your own little house with chairs and a table outside... Everything is super clean. And the best thing about Lake Wind is undoubtedly the OWNERS. It is a super nice and super attentive family, the woman prepares the food, local and delicious. The man is always carefull to take you anywhere in his tuk tuk and recommends the best places. If I return to Harabana I will 100% return to Lake Wind. Unbeatable treatment 😍

Mr Kalhara is very kind and thoughtful, it was pleasant to stay in his house! Breakfast was very good! Room is super clean. Big bed , clean bedclothes, normally working ac and fan, good hot water! Best recommendations, just book and stay here if it's possible🙂

Jeewa, Masha, and Oleena made our stay wonderful. Their homestay is lovely, jungle vibes. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, and Masha's dinner is very tasty. Jeewaa was always giving us advice and helping us to decide what to do around. We went on a safari with a guide that he recommended, and apart from being cheaper than other places, the guide was also very knowledgeable and professional. We wanted to do some Ayurvedic spa treatments, and we found other places quite expensive, but Jeewaa recommended us a local Ayurvedic centre, and the place was half the price then other places and it was SO GOOD! Our kids had the best time, Oleena (the couples' daughter) was always so friendly and playing with our kids. Our kids ended up joining the neighbourhood kids' gang. We had the most wonderful stay if one day we come back to Sri Lanka, we would definitely go back to Oleena's homestay. Jeewaa, Masha and Oleena, thank you so much.

Beautiful room with an equally beautiful ensuite bathroom (with hot water). Great location: town center still within walking distance but far enough to not get any city noises at all. Instead surrounded by lush greenery. The host and his family are very kind and super helpful: he fetched me with his tuk tuk from the train when I arrived, brought me to the bus station when I left, and drove me to Sigiriya, Dambulle and Polonnaruwa for a fair price. Also organized a safari to the local national park. The best was his wife's meals: The breakfasts but especially the home-made dinners were mouthwateringly delicious! Highly recommend you eat her home-made food as much as you can. The WiFi was good as well. I don't give 10 point reviews easily but this place highly deserves it. When you come to Habarana, stay here!

We stayed in this lovely home for two nights and I think that this was my favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts are fantastic people, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The rooms are simple but have everything that you need and have a lovely terrace within the beautiful gardens. But best of all is the food. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and we were served a selection of home cooked, Sri Lankan treats that were delicious. All together a fabulous experience that I’d happily pay more for.

We enjoyed staying at Heaven Habarana which opened just a few months ago. Such a lovely place. The host and his wife were really nice and caring. They prepared fresh breakfast everyday. The location is in the center of Habarana, only two minutes walk to restaurants, peoples bank, petrol station etc. Definitely worth staying there! Habarana is a perfect alternative to Sigiriya (lions rock is not far away from Habarana).
