This hotel was simply the best stay ever! From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond amazing. The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, with modern, stylish rooms and pristine bathrooms. We had a room right next to the pool (yes, there are actually two pools!), making it feel like a private paradise. One of the biggest highlights was the breakfast – hands down the best on Earth. Every single day, we were treated to a different, incredibly delicious, and rich selection of food, showcasing a mix of local and international flavors. We couldn’t get enough! The owners are absolutely wonderful. The host is super friendly, and his wife is the sweetest person ever. She even made us healthy cocktails and packed a homemade lunch for our long journey, which was such a thoughtful touch. Their kindness made the experience even more special. The location is peaceful and stunning, tucked away in a quiet, lush area. However, it’s very easy to reach the beautiful beaches of Tangalle with a quick tuk-tuk ride or by renting a scooter (which we did, and it was so much fun exploring the area!). Even though we skipped the touristy turtle-watching tours, we were lucky enough to see a baby turtle hatching and making its way to the sea while on a walk – such a magical moment! The bed was super comfy, the AC worked perfectly, and we loved relaxing on the private terrace attached to our room. Every single detail was carefully thought out to create an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for an amazing stay with warm hospitality, the most incredible food, and a perfect location, look no further. I 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat!

You feel you are close to nature. Lodge feels new and fresh. Bathroom is nice, a European standard, so not common. But most of all owner and manager give each tourist attention and are open to help. We had a great dinner at the lodge, so it’s worth trying, owner is a man of many talents. Last but not least pool is well maintained and water felt great like silk. Beach is close by, waves were crashing hard but if you swim further it’s calm.

Everything was amazing. The nature around that you could see from the terrace, the tooo big breakfast, the room was clean, quiet, comfortable. The owners were very kind, helping with anything. The owner helped me with getting the right bus to the next destination and I got a packed snack for the journey. Plus, no insects in the room, though it's around nature. The beach is super close. Lovely stay.

An absolutely great experience to stay at Sea Sound. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and they e.g. cocked a great seafood Christmas dinner and took us fishing. It is located 3 min. walk from the beach, where there is a small turtle sanctuary, where they release the baby turtles around 18.30 pm. (Dec.-Jan.). Quiet place. Great for relaxing and for families.

The ladies at Pearl Cave are wonderful. We felt instantly at home when we arrived. Once we looked around the place we were amazed at the beauty of the room, balcony and surroundings. Within minutes we saw so many water birds, peacocks and brahminy kites. There are other wildlife all around the area including chevrotains/mouse deer and obviously turtles. The beach is an easy 5-10 minutes walk. Breakfast was delicious. We thoroughly recommend staying here. You won't want to leave.

What an amazing place! We booked this for our honeymoon and the place exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in a tree house, the beds were amaaazing, definitely the best bed we had in Sri Lanka. We spent our days in the pool, at the beach and sometimes found the strength to leave this place of paradise to walk around town. The staff is amazing, they tend to all your needs and work super hard. Be kind to them as they only get one day off a month to go see their families. The place is located on a stretch of beach between the ocean and the lake but we barely saw any mosquitoes. We did spot a lot of wildlife, some that even got in out room so don’t book the tree house if you dont want animals 🤣 The house pets (3puppies, 2 dogs and a bunch of cats) are friendly and love to hang out with you to look at the sunset. What a life! We found it hard to leave and it will be a stay to remember.

We had a wonderful stay and extended it for 2 more nights. We loved the lovely hosts, they were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Also the food is amazing!! Definitely recommend everything on the menu. The room was big and clean. We loved the hammock outside our door.

    Indi was a really great host, who always ensured we were satisfied and taken care of. He arrived each morning with fresh mangos and bananas. The food was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed eating dinner at the home stay. Indi also let us borrow his bike for a small extra cost when we needed to go out. Overall, Three Little Birds was a lovely home stay.

    Great place with an amazing location! Just 2 min away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka ( Silent Beach). Nice and friendly host family as well as all other locals - we spent amazing 5 nights there! Cosy, clean rooms and some of the best food that we had during our trip in Sri Lanka. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again!!

    I spent Christmas at Ajanee's HomeStay. Ajanee's family were great hosts. I was offered the choice of Sri Lankan or western breakfasts, I chose Sri Lankan. The breakfasts were huge, and different each morning. The bedroom was large, and there was a large shaded open space just for me. It was a wonderful place to spend a few days, quiet, away from the Tangalle strip, close to the Madakatiya beach, with the lifeguarded Tangalle Town Beach a short walk away. I would stay here again
