Nice comfortable bed and clean room. Check in was a bit awkward as we were arriving after 9pm. When we arrived nobody was at reception so we had to call them. The staff were very friendly once they arrived.

The homemade breakfast was fantastic! Lady boss is a great cook. She will sometimes make supper for the guests too. Boss and lady boss are very friendly, chatty, helpful and hospitable. They gave us good recommendations of places to visit, helped us book the taxis and the Shengxing station tram tickets. The lovely couple brought us out for local breakfast at the market/ coffeeshop one of the days too. Pleasant surprises include complimentary upgrading us to their biggest room, which was clean and comfortable, and there is a large bathroom with 2 sinks. The furniture needs updating though, and the TV is rather challenging to operate. But all's good, as it's nothing that would affect the stay adversely. The grounds of the minsu are pretty, with lots of plants and flowers, and a cosy outdoor area to stargaze and have a drink at night. Minsu dog and cats, check! There is a restaurant (same as breakfast area) serving the hosts' daughter's Italian cuisine, and a leather goods shop selling bags from Italy, so one can get their shopping fix in this small town that does not seem to have shopping centres.

    It's more of a motel homestay type, so dont expect hotel standards. But still, owners take effort to keep it clean and provide you with all the necessary amenities. Very friendly lady boss who would tell you where to go for the Tung Flower trail (not a lot of flowers), Family mart and Shengxing station. Boss also helped us carry luggage up 2nd level. And gave us a lot of breakfast food the next day. Thanks!
