He made sure we had extra eggs, bread, cheese etc for the trek. Mir makes great coffee too. I think most places in Valbone are quite spread out, we were fortunate to get dropped off at the bottom of his road, maybe 1200 metres walk up. The official trail start is about 2 kilometres away, either arrange a taxi or walk. We chose the latter, downhill from Mir's, used a short cut he recommended, after 12 minutes you arrive to the flat and dry riverbed. The scenery is already amazing and the walk easy when you start early. The restaurant near to Mir's is good as well.

My room shared a modern, clean washroom with another bedroom upstairs. Staying at this guesthouse, meeting the owners and enjoying the meals has been a highlight of my trip to Albania. I wish I had stayed longer!
