When he learned my name is Kiwi, he looked astonished. When I showed him my kiwi bird profile picture, we high-fived excitedly! What a wonderful coincidence! He kept showing me the New Zealand elements in the house, and there were really many!

It's right in the center of the old village, but you won't hear anything from the outside really. The seating area is really nice and we loved the provided breakfast. The kitchen is beautiful and convenient as well. The bathroom is really spacious.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was incredibly clean and orderly. Traditional japanese housing but at the same time had a feeling of modernity. I was impressed by the attention to detail on all amenities present in the accommodation. The bed was so comfortable. It has a perfect location for those cycling the Shimanami Kaido. Keep in mind that it is a shared house, so you will be sharing the same common spaces with others staying, although this was no issue for me. I would highly recommend Omishima Space and I hope to be back in future!
