The place is managed by a berber family, who made our stay perfect: nice welcoming, amazing dinner and breakfast, and finally nice guided tour of the near ziz valley until the old kasbah. Located in a charming, authentic Moroccan village, away from the main hustle and bustle, what Martine and her helpers provide is a truly unique experience. From the beautifully decorated rooms and the peaceful garden setting to the delicious food and genuine hospitality — everything is done with care and heart. Her dogs are very friendly and even joined us on our stroll through the village. We are grateful for the opportunity to discover this oasis. Thank you, Martine!

We enjoyed our stay in this traditional casbah so very much, lovely hosts, delicious food and our host took us even to an interesting tour through the area and shared so Many Information. We felt completely at ease and at home at Auberge des lacs. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was perfect Dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful. We would 100% come back and recommend this Auberge to everyone.

The hosts (Omar and Hassan) were absolutely lovely, so caring and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and spotless. We had both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious, clearly prepared and served with love. The hotel is perfectly located right by the dunes , just a short walk through palm trees and you’re there. We’re so pleased our trip to faraway Merzouga was perfect, and staying here truly made the whole experience feel wholesome and complete. Hopefully we can come back one day!
