Each morning, stepping out onto the stunning terrace to enjoy the sea breeze, the sky and wonderful view, was a perfect start to the day. I was able to work comfortably under a large umbrella, surrounded by views and calm. The Kasba itself is a wonderful experience—getting lost in its narrow, winding streets, stumbling upon sculpted wooden doors and old buildings full of character. The hosts were exceptional: warm, attentive, and always ready to help—whether by running up to the terrace with anything you needed or offering guidance through the maze of alleys. They made everything feel simple, safe, and truly enjoyable.

The riad is perfectly located—right in the medina, yet tucked away on a quiet and beautiful street just off the main road. Upon arrival, the receptionist, Walid, kindly offered us a choice between two rooms. The rooms were spotless, clearly newly renovated, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to relax, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Amal at the reception was incredibly helpful in finding us the best way to travel from Chefchaouen to Rabat (note: when we were there, only one bus per day ran at 7 AM, but an alternative is taking a grand taxi to Tangier and then the TGV, which took us just 3.5 hours). We would have happily stayed longer—this is a truly comfortable, laid-back place, perfect for enjoying a coffee on the terrace with stunning views of the city. All units in the homestay are fitted with a coffee machine. There is a private bathroom with walk-in shower in some units, along with bathrobes, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the homestay, units come with bed linen and towels. We had a very comfortable stay at chez Aissam. The welcome tea and cookies were nicely presented and very good. The room is decorated and has a king size bed. The shared bathroom was not a problem. It was cleaned all the time. The breakfast was excellent! And most important, Mr. Aissam is a very kind and helpful host. Highly recommended.
