The location could not be better – easy parking right by the property, just a pleasant stroll into town, perfectly situated for exploring the entire island, and conveniently close to a large supermarket. We always felt completely safe here, which added so much peace of mind to our holiday. The cleanliness is simply impeccable – everything spotless and fresh, every day. The entire place is beautifully organized, with a layout that makes it feel both spacious and homely. The kitchen is especially well thought out: each room has its own assigned table, cupboard, and set of plates, utensils, and cooking items, which keeps things wonderfully neat and easy for everyone. And then there is Catarina – what a host! She is truly the heart of this place. Warm, sincere, and full of genuine care, she puts her soul into making her guests feel welcome and valued. She visits daily to tidy and refresh the common areas, replace the flowers, and, more often than not, surprise guests with delicious homemade or local treats. She is thoughtful, adaptable, and always ready to help – whether it’s offering great local tips or simply checking in via message to see if we needed anything. We felt so looked after and appreciated her kindness enormously. The property itself feels like a peaceful haven – quiet, comfortable, and infused with warmth and charm. Everything here has been designed with the guest’s comfort in mind, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into it. We travel often, but this stay will remain a highlight for us. If you’re looking for a spotless, perfectly located, safe, and beautifully run accommodation with a host who truly cares, look no further – this is the place! We would return in a heartbeat.

Located within 13 km of Pico do Carvao and 25 km of Sete Cidades Lagoon, Solar dos Cantos Botanic House & Garden features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ponta Delgada. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. We are first time visitors to the Azores and everything about Solar dos Cantos we was a delight. The building and grounds were beautiful. The staff were wonderful, warm, welcoming and delighted to answer questions, offer services and suggestions, invite us to enjoy the evening fire, recommend activities etc. we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our time at Solar Dos Cantos.

We spent very little time at the property (literally only slept there), but absolutely no complaints - the room was huge, perfectly clean, great bathroom, they were flexible with check in and even offered to pack us a breakfast box because our flight was too early to take advantage of the buffet. Would definitely recoomend!

On top of that, Emanuel is one of the best hosts I've met! He was super friendly and accommodating. He sent a huge list of places to visit which ended up being our main travel guide during our time in São Miguel. Couldn't recommend this place more! <3
