Cleanliness - couldn’t be better! Feels like home. You can tell that the staff takes pride in the hostel and is always cleaning. No dirt in sight and kitchen was always clean. Sleeping - Comfortable bed and the pillow is just right. Being able to close the shades around the outside of the bed very helpful for when people are in the room with light and you are sleeping. I bought an eye mask but really not needed. Ear plugs necessary though because if people come in late and to drown out the bar noise below. With this, you can comfortable sleep! Temperature in room just right, not too hot or cold. Showering - nice big clean shower with hot water! One day it was only slightly warm, but that’s probably because it was just at the time when everyone else was showering after skiing. There is also other shower/bathrooms outside of the hostel rooms as backup which comes in handy with 10 people per room. Food/kitchen: nice big kitchen with plenty of space for shared cooking/eating. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances/tools for cooking whatever you want. Separate fridges per room are nice for storing your individual food items. Was really enjoyable to share meals with the other guests on the extra large table. I did not eat the free breakfast, but really was enough to make you full: Sortiment of fresh bread, granola, oats, milk, jams/spreads, milk. The hostel even occasionally provides free dinner like taco night on Christmas Eve! Staff - Amazing! Super friendly people who really make you feel at home. You feel like friends at the end of your stay. Always positive vibes and talking with you. Also, if you have a problem, they are very responsive and helpful. There is always someone available. Other Facilities - ski room is perfect for drying skis/boards/boots. Living room area very cozy and well designed. Lots of sitting and chilling space. Storage room for bags while on the slopes also really nice and safe.

Staff were honestly fantastic - they tried so so hard to accomodate the guests. There was an igloo party one night at the resort (nothing to do with the hostel) and the girl on reception arranged a coach off her own back so the guests could go (as it was hard to get home from) - genuinely fantastic effort. If the bar was just a little quiet the staff often went and had a beer with the guests etc so they felt accommodated. Breakfast was fantastic - really good buffet with hot and cold options - staff were attentive and kept it topped up, food was really well cooked. Location was pretty good - its around a 5 minute drive from the ski resort, and they put shuttles/coaches on morning and night. Bear in mind the prices you pay for accom right at the slopes I really cant complain at all its a great concept. The only thing I could mybe mention location wise is there's not much in the nearby (20 mins walk) town of Hopfgarten - places to eat, and apres ski bars in the town and coming off the slopes, but not really anywhere to drink after about 8pm, (except the hostel itself) unless you get a taxi to the next town Westendorf, which isn't walking distance and was around 30 EUR taxi. The whole place was absolutely spotless - the staff/managers certainly appeared to take a real pride in the place - and why not its lovely. Overall thanks very much guys, had a fantastic time, you were brilliant.

Right in the center of town for a great price. The accommodation was clean and the staff were approachable and friendly. It's a backpackers hostel but despite being 64 I felt right at home. I was in town to catch up with old friends and this location and price just couldn't be beaten. I would certainly book again. Had a double room which bigger than many I had stayed in in four star hotels!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
